A USEFUL ESTIMATE. NOT A MAGIC NUMBER.

AI does the counting.
You get the final say.

Hidden oil. A bigger portion. A different ingredient. A food photo won’t tell the whole story. 123 Cal shows its assumptions and lets you correct the numbers, so your calorie counting app works with what you actually ate.

More questions about your calorie tracker?
We’re here to help

How does a photo calorie counter work?

Take a photo of your meal in 123 Cal. AI analyzes the food and returns an estimate of calories, protein, carbs, fats and fiber. You can review the assumptions, adjust portions and correct the result in your food diary.

Can I use 123 Cal as a protein tracker?

Yes. 123 Cal tracks protein in each meal and shows how much is left against your daily target. Calories, carbs and fats stay visible alongside protein, so you can use one app as both a protein tracker and a macro tracker.

How accurate are AI calorie estimates?

A photo cannot reveal every ingredient or measure a portion perfectly. 123 Cal shows a likely calorie range and the assumptions behind the estimate. Review the food, adjust the amounts, and add oil or butter the camera could not see. Results are estimates, not exact measurements.

Can I scan barcodes and nutrition labels?

Yes. Use barcode scanning for packaged foods, or scan a nutrition label with AI. Check the product and serving size before logging. Barcode availability depends on the food database, and label readings may need corrections.

Does 123 Cal connect to Apple Health?

Yes, with your permission. 123 Cal can write nutrition and water to Apple Health and read supported health and activity data. You choose which categories to share, and you can change access in Apple's Health settings.

Can I track macros for weight loss?

123 Cal lets you set calorie and macro targets and track your food intake against them. You can use it while following a weight-loss plan, maintaining weight or working toward a protein goal. The app does not guarantee weight loss or provide medical advice.

Is 123 Cal a free calorie tracking app?

123 Cal is free to download and offers in-app purchases. Unlimited scanning requires 123 Cal Pro. Check the App Store and the in-app paywall for current prices and any available trial before subscribing.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed through Apple, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select 123 Cal and choose Cancel Subscription. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription. For billing questions, visit our support page.
