You use an iPhone, want to start with a meal photo or description, and will review the estimate before saving it.
You need ongoing free scanning or Android support. Neither is confirmed here.
How it works
123 Cal starts from a photo, a barcode, a nutrition label or a typed meal description. You can add information about the portion or preparation before analysis, then correct the estimate before confirming it. This is useful when you know something the image cannot show, such as oil added during cooking. It does not turn the image into a measured ingredient list.
The listing keeps daily calories and macros alongside a protein target. Its release notes describe manual nutrition entry, offline USDA ingredient search, saved recipes and batch sizes. For a regular dish, check whether its saved-recipe controls match how you divide the batch. It is unclear whether you can divide a finished dish by weight in grams.
We make 123 Cal. Choose it if you want to edit a meal estimate before saving. If you mainly want free custom ingredient recipes, compare Cronometer Basic; if an ad-free Apple-device diary matters more, inspect Foodnoms. Food photos cannot support medical or allergen decisions.
