You want to enter foods and homemade recipes while keeping vitamin and mineral information available.
You want photo entry, recipe import and an ad-free diary without a subscription. Those upgrades sit in Gold.
How it works
Cronometer is a useful starting point when the record behind an entry matters to you. Basic includes food logging and nutrient information as well as custom recipes. A long list of available nutrients is not evidence that every branded food has complete data, so inspect the foods you actually use.
You can build recipes from your own ingredients in Basic. Gold adds recipe import from a URL, Photo Log and Voice Log. Check imported ingredients against what you actually used.
Keep Cronometer if its existing recipe collection and nutrient views already meet your needs. Switching solely for a camera may mean rebuilding useful records, and a photo tool is already listed within Gold. Compare the cost of the exact upgrade with the work of moving your routine, rather than comparing app names alone.
Free and paid features
Basic is an ongoing free plan. Gold adds photo and voice logging, recipe import, scheduled repeats, more reporting and an ad-free experience.
Platforms and feature limits
Official Basic page lists web, iOS and Android. Features can differ by device.
Try before subscribing
Create one recipe in Basic, check the nutrient fields on its ingredients, and log a different serving. Separately inspect Gold if photo entry is the reason you are switching.
