You already have a useful diary routine and want to compare its paid logging tools before moving elsewhere.
Free barcode scanning is your main requirement. The Premium comparison puts barcode and meal scanning in the paid tier.
How it works
The first question for an existing MyFitnessPal user is what is broken in the current routine. If your saved foods and diary are useful, test whether a paid feature solves the specific problem before rebuilding the diary elsewhere. A familiar workflow can be worth keeping.
The Premium table matters more than the word “free” beside the download. It places barcode and meal scanning, voice logging and custom macro goals in Premium. Basic nutrition and weight tracking remain in the free column. Choose the column that contains the way you want to log.
If paying for barcode entry is the reason to leave, inspect Cronometer, MyNetDiary or MacrosFirst, which list free scanning. If you stay, review the renewal period and the seller on the receipt. Installing another app does not cancel a subscription, and automatic transfer of recipes or history is not confirmed.
Free and paid features
The free-versus-Premium comparison includes basic nutrition tracking for free, and puts barcode scanning, Meal Scan, Voice Log, custom macro goals and ad-free logging in Premium.
